FAQ

Is this a mixer?

No. It does not pool anyone's funds. It gives each buy its own address so your holdings are not linked to your main wallet. The transaction that calls the router is still visible.

Do I need to hold $CHAM?

No. The router never asks for it and has no fee to pay in it. See the token page.

Do I need a wallet?

Not to make keys, build a buy or scan. You need one only to send the transaction.

Which chain and which launchpad?

Robinhood Chain and Pons curves. The router needs a curve with buy(uint256,uint256,address) and token(). Nothing else has been tested.

What does it cost?

About 190,000 gas through the router, a few millionths of an ETH at today's gas price, plus the curve's own fee and the gas dust you send to the new address. The router takes no fee.

Does it get around the launch-time snipe tax?

No. The curve's own rules apply. The first seconds after a launch have not been tested through the router, so do not use it for that.

Where are my keys?

In this tab's session storage while you use the demo, and in the backup you download. Nothing is sent to a server. Lose the spending key and the funds on your stealth addresses are lost.

Can two of my addresses be linked?

Only by someone with your viewing key, or by analysing how a funding wallet was topped up. The addresses themselves share nothing.

What does the view tag do?

It is the first byte of the hashed shared secret, published with each announcement. A scanner checks that one byte first and skips about 255 of every 256 announcements that are not theirs.

What is the colour of an address?

Decoration. The site takes the first two bytes of an address and turns them into a hue, so every address has its own skin. It carries no meaning.

Why is the announcer empty?

The ERC-5564 contracts exist on the chain but almost nobody uses them yet. A live scan will usually find nothing until the router is in use. The local simulation shows the same scanner on generated data, clearly labelled.

Can I use my own wallet's address for the meta-address?

No. A meta-address is two separate public keys. You can derive them from a wallet signature, but they are different keys from the wallet's own.

Is it open source?

The code in this project is meant to be read: the router, the engine, the tests and the build scripts. Nothing is minified except the bundled crypto library.
